English Vinglish at Crossroads International Film Festival

English Vinglish is an uplifting comedy drama. Shashi Godbole is an Indian housewife who makes and sells laddoos from her home business. She frequently feels her family takes her for granted and doesn't respect her due to her lack of English-language skills. While visiting family in New York City, she secretly enrolls in an English language course to win the respect of her family. In the process she gains respect for herself.
